Meet Founder Lana

Growing up, ‘sustainability’ wasn’t a buzzword for me, it was a way of life focused on survival. Today, that perspective drives everything we do. After 22 years in the UK, I’m still on a mission to prove that eco-conscious living doesn't mean sacrificing the luxury of gorgeous, salon-quality hair.

Tomorrow’s issues are rapidly becoming today’s: plastic is filling our oceans, and our climate is shifting faster than ever. I created Solidamie for those who refuse to choose between their hair’s health and the health of Mother Earth.

The name Solidamie comes from the English word ‘Solid’ and the French ‘Amie’ (a female friend or lover). It represents a steadfast, reliable friend for your hair and for the planet.

Solidamie originally launched in 2020, but my commitment to excellence didn't stop there. To bridge the gap between nature and professional grade results, I spent two years prior to that studying to become a certified formulator. I wanted to master the chemistry natural of skincare and haircare to ensure that "solid" never meant "compromise."

Every Solidamie product is formulated in my dedicated home lab. This isn't just a hobby; it’s a space of scientific precision where the magic happens. It’s here that I perfected our pH-balanced, silicone-free formulas. By blending over 20 hair-nourishing ingredients into each bar, they have gone on to become award-winning and officially hairdresser-approved.

What does “no soap” mean?

Most people don't realize that many shampoo bars on the market are actually just bars of soap. Soap is naturally very alkaline, often sitting at a pH of 9 or 10, which is far too harsh for your hair and scalp.

Solidamie is different. Our bars are 100% soap-free and specifically formulated to be pH-balanced and feel luxirous on your hair, sitting at a level that matches your hair's natural acidity. By using professional-grade ingredients instead of soap bases, we ensure there is no "waxy" transition period and no stripped color. You get the high-end results of a salon bottle, just without the plastic.
