Essential Oils Benefits In Aromatherapy
Everyone who knows me from a young age knows I have always been obsessed with two girly things. Handbags and scents (perfumes, scented candles, diffusers, nice smelling skincare and haircare). I was always told I have a very strong sense of smell and can smell things that others can’t. So, it wasn’t a surprise to anyone who knows me that I have decided to create products with naturals scents.
I always knew there is a lot of healing powers in plants and it really helps when they smell incredible, doesn’t it? I had so much fun researching which plants (and their parts) nourish hair strands and roots and they don’t just provide a pleasant smell, aromatherapy oils can provide respiratory disinfection, decongestant, and psychological benefits.
Molecules that enter the nose or mouth pass to the lungs, and from there, to other parts of the body.
As the molecules reach the brain, they affect limbic system, which is linked to the emotions, the heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress, and hormone balance. In this way, essential oils can have a subtle, yet holistic effect on the body.
*A range of essential oils have also bee shown to reduce:
- Pain and body aches
- Anxiety, agitation, stress, and depression
- Fatigue and insomnia
- Muscular aches
- Circulatory problems
- Menstrual problems
- Menopausal problems
- Alopecia, or hair loss
It’s not by accident I decided to create a curated collection of limited edition wax melts with essential oils blends. Our blends don’t just have scents, they also have an array of unique healing properties, uses, and effects.
Each wax melt page has a list of essential oils used in the blend and describes benefits of essential oils.
Please see below a graph that explains a difference between synthetic and natural scents.
For those of you who you like scents of our shampoo bars, we have created wax melts with those scents. You can have a look at our collection here.
Please note, essential oils shouldn’t be used when pregnant and some blends are not advised to be used if you have pets. We have listed oils on each page which are not advised for pets.
